The Youth Philanthropy Council serving Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County is proud to announce the following grants for 2017:
CASA for Children: $2,500 to continue advocating for youth who have been abused or neglected until they are in a safe and permanent home.
Creative Works Farm: $2,700 to support participation in their 2017 summer camp (Camp LIGHT) for children with medical, physical, and behavioral diagnoses and other special needs, including at-risk youth.
Elk Hill Farm: $2,500 for the launch of their Education for Employment Program at their new school for local children in need of emotional, mental, behavioral, and educational support.
Renewing Homes of Greater Augusta: $1,700 for their 2017 Youth Build Day.
Ride With Pride: $3,400 for their continuing therapeutic equine program.
Valley Alliance for Education: $1,200 to support a Creative Classroom Grant.
Valley Children’s Advocacy Center: $3,000 for their forensic interviewing services for victims of child abuse.
Valley Hope Counseling Center: $4,000 to help them provide low- or no-cost mental health counseling services to area adolescents.
Valley Mission: $4,000 to provide 100 hours of mental health support for their resident children and teens.

Dare to Dream: $3,950 to support their therapeutic horsemanship scholarship(s).
McDowell Volunteer Fire Department: $3,050 to equip their fire trucks with swivel chutes.
Valley Program for Aging Services: $3,000 in support of their senior transportation program.
