Our Scholarship Program

Kayla Graham, 2016 Scholarship Recipient

Generous donors to the Community Foundation have created over 30 scholarship endowments for college-bound high school seniors and adult learners. If you have interest in applying for scholarship assistance, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the application deadline and our timeline for making decisions and delivering scholarship awards (below). Additionally, we highly recommend that you view the available scholarships to determine your eligibility. Only one online scholarship application is required to apply for all Community Foundation scholarships for which you are eligible.

Who May Apply?
There are unique eligibility requirements for each scholarship. Currently, most Community Foundation scholarships are available to residents of the independent cities of Staunton and Waynesboro, and the counties of Augusta, Highland, and Nelson in Virginia.

2017 Scholarship Timeline (exceptions exist for certain scholarships)

  • January – Scholarship Program announcement
  • March 20th – Scholarship application deadline
  • May – Scholarship recipients are notified
  • July – Payments delivered directly to the colleges and universities of the scholarship recipients

If you have any questions or need any additional information, please contact your guidance counselor or the Foundation.
