How to Create a Scholarship

Lindsay Ree Hyson

Our scholarship program supports individuals who aspire to pursue various types of education during and/or after high school. Most of our scholarships support graduating high school seniors and adults seeking new skills and higher education, which includes the pursuit of a technical certificate at a community college or trade school, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or graduate degree. However, the Community Foundation offers great flexibility and donors can structure their fund to support the pursuit of education at various levels.

You may create a scholarship during your lifetime or through your estate.  Each scholarship at the Community Foundation is unique, reflecting the values of the donors who created each scholarship. Therefore, we encourage you to contact us to discuss the opportunities you hope to create for deserving students in memory of a loved one or as a legacy to you and your family.  You may also begin by reviewing our list of available scholarships.
