One of the most common forms of charitable funds, our scholarships support individuals who aspire to better lives through education. Donors who choose to create this form of fund select the criterion that allows the Community Foundation to identify the best possible candidates to receive scholarship support. While most scholarships support individuals pursuing a four-year college degree, donors can structure their fund to support the pursuit of education at many different levels, or education at specific institutions.
You may create a scholarship during your lifetime or through your estate, and your scholarship may take the form of a charitable endowment. Each scholarship at the Community Foundation is unique, reflecting the values of the donors who created each scholarship. Therefore, we encourage you to contact us to discuss the opportunities you hope to create for deserving students. You may also begin by reviewing some of our traditional scholarship considerations.
