Program Overview: Rocket into Scouting is a Boy Scouts of America proven best practice for membership recruiting, yielding more than 10% membership growth in councils who fully implement.  The program begins with a comprehensive media blitz of recruiting nights and joining opportunities.  New Scouts attend local rocket days where we introduce one of the many STEM aspects of Scouting and have the opportunity to build and launch a model rocket.

Our membership committee has already started the process securing funding and reviewing logistics.  They have scheduled a test run on April 16 with new Scout programs we are starting in Albemarle.  Fall rocket days are already scheduled and our comprehensive plan book includes detailed timeline, job descriptions, and objectives.

A successful campaign will create a snowball effect.  New members generate additional revenue for the council which can be reinvested into our membership recruiting efforts.  Additional corporate support will also be easier.
