Constituents Served: Valley Music Academy provides quality music instruction to students of all ages and ability levels. Our current students range from infants to 83 years of age. VMA currently has more senior adult students than at any time in our history. VMA accepts all students who desire to learn music regardless of ability, gender, race, creed, religion, sexual orientation or financial resources. Total student enrollment for 2015 = 445 Students. Of those, 68 were 5 years old or younger, 135 age 6-10, 202 age 11-18, 10 age 19-30, 14, age 31-50, and 16 age 51+.
Program Overview: VMA is a non-profit regional school of music that serves a diverse community of music enthusiasts of all ages. We provide (1) comprehensive early childhood music programs (2) private instruction on most instruments for beginners, intermediate and advanced students, (3) both individual and group instruction to students of all ages (with current student age range of 6 months to 83 years), (4) student solo and ensemble performance opportunities, (5) a community SuperSax Big Band, (6) scholarships to qualified applicants that demonstrate need and desire to learn, and ( 7) a safe and secure environment for learning and growth.
During 2016 we are looking toward increasing student enrollment, increasing adult student enrollment, and openning an additional Academy site in Staunton.
