Verona Community Food Pantry

Why We Exist

Our only mission is to provide food for our clients through the largest food pantry in the Shenandoah Valley. Families qualify for support if their income is at or below the poverty level as defined by the USDA.

What We Do

In 2017 an average of 1270 families were aided each month. Over 2,253,000 pounds of food was distributed to food insecure families, senior citizens and disabled veterans.

Who We Serve

Our clients consist of children under the age of 18, adults to include senior citizens and families.
Why Community Members Support Our Work
The Verona Community Food Pantry is a community of devoted volunteers drawn together by their committment to provide food support to those in need in Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro, Virginia. We are an independant all volunteer 501c3 non-profit organization. The VCFP receives no direct financial support from any government agency, but is solely supported by churches, civic groups, coorporations, and individuals from the community we serve. The Augusta County Board of Supervisors provide floor space and utilities for the pantry for which we are most grateful. VCFP currently aides 3,602 people each month.
