All those who were lucky enough to know Maryanne Moffett knew that she loved animals. A former board member of the Augusta Regional SPCA, Maryanne left a $300,000 contribution to the Community Foundation upon her death in 2015. Her planned gift, and continuing legacy, will help reduce the number of animals euthanized in our area and will also reduce the number of new litters. In May of each year, thanks to Maryanne’s bequest, the SPCA will offer reduced rate spay and neuter services for cats and dogs over six months old.
