The Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge is currently accepting scholarship applications from graduating high school seniors and adults seeking new skills and higher education. Currently, most Community Foundation scholarships are available to residents of the independent cities of Staunton and Waynesboro, and the counties of Augusta, Highland, and Nelson.
“We are very proud to make available a large number of scholarships,” said Dan Layman, CEO of the Community Foundation. “We have many local donors, each very passionate about education, to thank for these opportunities. While the qualifications for each scholarship are unique, they all serve to help individuals achieve their personal aspirations.”
With the recent addition of three new scholarship funds, including the Hailey Green Memorial Scholarship, Dr. Richard Bolstein and Sharon Adams Scholarship, and the Doyle O. and Lelia Jane Bateman Scholarship, the Community Foundation will award over $100,000 to nearly 60 individuals in Spring of 2020.
