Our Investments
Following three years of positive growth in 2019-21, during which our annualized rate of return was 13.76%, our portfolio recorded an investment loss of -8.97% during 2022. This result compared quite favorably to our benchmark, which declined -17.54%.
We are grateful to our investment advisory firm, Alpha Omega Wealth Management, for positioning us well to weather last year’s volatility. This allows us to consistently carry on the good work of your fund.
We contract Alpha Omega Wealth Management to provide discretionary investment services for the majority of the Community Foundation’s assets. They work within the framework of our Investment Policy Statement, adopted by our Board of Directors, and oversight by our Investment Committee.
