Clyde Diacont was not a professionally trained musician. He was more of a musical journeyman that was self taught, and guided by a tremendous sense of rhythm.
Clyde Diacont was born in Richmond, VA on January 1, 1921. His gift of music came to light early when he won a talent contest at the Byrd Theater. Throughout the 1960’s, Mr. Diacont played in an American Legion drum and bugle corps; marching in parades in Miami, Dallas, Portland, Boston and Washington, DC. Mr. Diacont passed away on May 23, 2022.
For every day of his 101 years, there was truly a song in his heart.
