Description
The Diana Beam Scholarship was first presented in 2017 by an anonymous donor to honor her thirty-three years of teaching, coaching, and service to the Wilson Memorial High School community. The Diana Beam Scholarship continues today to provide funds for educational scholarships to graduating seniors at Wilson Memorial High School who have excelled in the areas of Public Speaking, Theatre Arts, or the Fine Arts and demonstrate a financial need. Students selected for this scholarship have displayed a passion for the Arts, a dedication to excellence in the Arts, and a desire to continue to make the Arts a central focus of their continuing education.
Eligibility
- An eligible applicant must be a graduating senior at Wilson Memorial High School
- An eligible applicant must demonstrate financial need
- An eligible applicant should have a record of participation in and appreciation for the arts (visual, music, and/or theater) while in high school.
- An eligible applicant must have a desire to succeed, as demonstrated by their willingness to work hard to achieve their personal goals.
2024 Award Amount
Not available to a new recipient in 2024. Recipients shall be eligible for the renewal of their Scholarship for an additional three years as long as they remain in good standing at their college or university.
