Nonprofit Organizations

To provide permanent, lifelong housing and care for miniature horses, donkey, mules, and ponies, specifically for those animals for which other care options are not suitable or available due to disposition, injury, age, or illness. The care and facilities of the EMES are designed specifically for smaller equine so that they do not have to compete with larger animals for attention or feeding. This creates a safer environment for smaller equine than typical horse rescue centers can provide.
Augusta Health Foundation inspires community ownership through charitable giving to advance health and wellness in our region.
Our only mission is to provide food for our clients through the largest food pantry in the Shenandoah Valley. Families qualify for support if their income is at or below the poverty level as defined by the USDA.
Our mission, as stated in our Articles of Incorporation, is "To promote the arts, including by promoting interest in and appreciation of music of the baroque era, sponsoring live musical performances, and educating audiences regarding baroque music."

The Talking Book Center provides free audio books and other library services and resources to persons who are blind, print disabled, or unable to use standard printed materials.
ARROW Project is a community-focused health and wellness organization. We're seeking to expand care options through new and unique approaches to mental health in Augusta County, Staunton, and Waynesboro, Virginia and surrounding areas. ARROW Project’s approach reflects our goal of expanding and developing new care possibilities through connection within the community, cultivation of new and emerging professionals, and collaboration with area mental health care providers and professionals. ARROW Project hopes that connection, cultivation, and collaboration will promote a stronger, more resilient collective community.
