Dr. Richard Bolstein and Sharon Adams established their scholarship in 2019 to support Staunton High School graduates in their pursuit of higher education.
Description
The Dr. Richard Bolstein and Sharon Adams Scholarship will be awarded to graduating seniors of Staunton High School who have demonstrated academic merit and financial need, performed notable community service outside of the school setting, and have been accepted into an accredited institution of higher education.
Eligibility
- Seniors at Staunton High School (Staunton, VA) who will graduate at the end of the current academic year and enroll full-time at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the continental United States the following academic year.
- The selection committee will consider each applicant’s:
- Academic merit (40% of the selection criteria)
- Financial need (40% of the selection criteria)
- Community service outside of school (20% of the selection criteria)
2024 Award Amount
$3,000 – This scholarship is renewable for one additional year provided the recipient remains in good standing with the academic institution at which they are enrolled and maintains a B or greater grade point average.
