Dr. Richard Bolstein and Sharon Adams established their scholarship in 2019 to support Staunton High School graduates in their pursuit of higher education.

Description

The Dr. Richard Bolstein and Sharon Adams Scholarship will be awarded to graduating seniors of Staunton High School who have demonstrated academic merit and financial need, performed notable community service outside of the school setting, and have been accepted into an accredited institution of higher education.

Eligibility

• Seniors at Staunton High School (Staunton, VA) who will graduate at the end of the current academic year and enroll full-time at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the continental United States the following academic year.

• The selection committee will consider each applicant’s:
  • Academic merit (4.0 GPA or higher) – 50%
  • Financial need – 50%

Each recipient shall be eligible for renewal of their Scholarship for three additional years, provided they achieved a 3.0 GPA during the academic year prior to the renewal of their scholarship and have maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
