Jim and Sarah Harlow, residents of Augusta County, established the Harlow Family Scholarship in 2023 in support of Fort Defiance High School athletes who have worked hard to overcome personal challenges. Jim and Sarah understand the value of education after high school and want to make the path a bit easier for individuals who are willing to work hard and persevere to improve their situation.
Jim is a graduate of North River High School (Class of ’62) where he was a standout basketball and baseball player. Sarah is a graduate of Harrisonburg High School (Class of ’60) where she played soccer. They are passionate advocates for youth sports and have great interest in FDHS athletics.
Description
The Harlow Family Scholarship was established to provide funds for educational scholarships to graduating seniors of Fort Defiance High School who have participated in FDHS athletics, have financial need, and have worked extremely hard to rise above challenges and obstacles.
Eligibility

- Must be a graduating senior at Fort Defiance High School.
