Why We Exist

The 116th Infantry Regiment Foundation Inc.’s vision is for everyone to know and understand the History, Heritage and Legacy of America’s Citizen Soldiers. The Mission of the 116th Infantry Regiment Foundation, Inc. is to: -Provide museums and archives for exhibits and artifacts related to the 116th Infantry Regiment, the Greater Shenandoah Valley and its Citizen Soldiers. -Conduct education programs for Students and Adults. -Sponsor special programs and other events. -Support an annual Muster for members of The Regiment and Guests.

What We Do

Provide a NO admission cost history museum, open to the public and available for group meeting use. Provide educators resources for history and citizenship lessons: artifacts and archives that tie local people to national and world impacting events, as will as classroom help. Support civic group programming, conduct history tours to France that highlight Virginia Citizen soldier contributions to world history.

Who We Serve

Travelers to and from Virginia, Residents of the Greater Shenandoah Valley, Educators, Youth and Adult students, History lovers, Veterans and former members of the 116th Regiment, Relatives and descendants of 116th Regiment members and veterans, Military service Veterans.
