Steven W. Short Memorial Scholarship
Description
The Steven W. Short Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students in Augusta County, Staunton, or Waynesboro who have overcome adversity and have a record of volunteerism. Preference will be given to applicants who have a deceased parent(s).
Eligibility
- An eligible student must be a graduating senior from a public or private high school in Staunton, Augusta County, or Waynesboro.
- An eligible student must demonstrate financial need.
- An eligible student must demonstrate how he/she has dealt with adversity.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have a deceased parent(s).
- An eligible applicant must demonstrate community service.
Award Amount
$1,000 (may reapply annually for three additional years totaling $4,000)
