Dawbarn Education Awards
Thanks to the foresight of H. Dunlop “Buz” Dawbarn, we have the privilege of administering the Dawbarn Education Awards which distributes $100,000 annually to local educators. Each recipient has made a real and lasting difference in the life of a student in the public schools of Augusta County, Staunton, and Waynesboro.
Our Scholarship Program
Our scholarships support students of all ages residing in Staunton, Waynesboro, and the counties of Augusta, Highland, and Nelson. We will award just over $200,000 through our Scholarship Program in 2023. We remain extremely grateful to the generous community members who make this work possible!
Youth Philanthropy Council
The YPC is a grant making body that provides opportunities for local youth to practice philanthropic leadership skills. They meet throughout the school year to learn about the grant making process and our social sector. They write their own grant application and together make all of the funding decisions.
