The Peterson Scholarship serves to support the pursuit of post-secondary education, in all forms, for the employees of Wash J&L and their immediate family members (defined as legal dependents), and members of the communities in which Wash J&L does business. Those communities include Mineral County (WV), Jefferson County (WV), Berkeley County (WV), Allegany County (VA), Frederick County (VA), City of Lynchburg (VA), City of Staunton (VA), and Chesterfield County (VA).
